I am an Engineer, Sort of

Can I call myself an engineer?  To be honest I am not sure.  I design, I create, I build but it feels more like I just borrow.  If I have a problem to solve – I will “google it”, comb through the results, and then take the best “solution” that can be adapted to my needs.  If the problem is big enough, I will break it up into multiple small problems and keep following the same pattern i.e., rinse and repeat the process.  I guess the confusion comes in because I am not necessarily using physics, chemistry, calculus, or any of the sciences.  I just fix things that are broken and build automation to make things work consistently and faster.

I consider myself more scripting “Lego master”, googling addict and if I must say engineer, it would be a Reverse Engineer.
